South African Schools MUN 2024

On October 5th, 2024, the South African Model United Nations (MUN) conference took place at the City of Cape Town Mayor’s Council Chamber. The event, hosted by the national office in collaboration with the UCT MUN team, saw 14 teams from diverse backgrounds simulate a UN General Assembly. Delegates represented various countries, engaging in debates on global issues while honing their skills in diplomacy and negotiation. The historic venue provided an ideal setting for this prestigious event, which showcased the power of youth in international diplomacy.

South African Schools MUN 2019

The South African Schools Model United Nations (MUN) event took place on September 14, 2019, at the Mayor’s Council Chamber in Cape Town. Eighteen schools, representing a diverse range of backgrounds, participated in the event, where students engaged in diplomatic discussions and debates on global issues. The event was covered by eNCA, highlighting its significance in providing young people with a platform to develop skills in international relations, public speaking, and critical thinking.

South African Schools MUN 2015

The 2015 MUN for South African schools took place at the Provincial Parliament with  8 schools participating. UCT chapter with the national office, hosted the event. eNCA covered the event.
